What Westerners think about sage (Part 1):

http://www.4chan.org/faq.php
2. Sage

a. What is saging?

Saging is the process of replying to a topic without bumping it, in order to add to its post count.

b. Why should I care?

When a post reaches a certain post count, it cannot be bumped. By saging a post, you are in effect causing it to be pruned faster, and disallowing it from being bumped further.

c. How do I sage?

To sage, simply enter "sage" without quotes into the e-mail field in your reply.

27 :Anonymous:2005/05/24(火) 21:14:34
What Westerners think about sage (Part 2):

http://www.world4ch.org/guide.html
What is sage?
When you tick the sage checkbox next to your reply, it will not bump the thread.
Usually, when you reply, the thread will be moved to the top of the list for further discussion; with sage enabled, it will not.

http://4-ch.net/4ch.html
What is a Sage?
Saging is where you add a post to a thread, but do not bump it up to the top.
This allows users to add content to a thread, but not annoy the rest of the board with the thread bumping up.
To sage your post, simply put "sage" (minus the quotation marks) in the Email field.

imagination is great. it allows me to be a viking

by the way I prefer a buffet to a viking

I have always wondered why in Japan we call buffet a viking?
Vikings are the ancient people of Sweden and Norway so how is it
related to buffet?

Vikings are cool that is why I imagine I am one. They had cool
ships and could ski and use bows and arrows at the same time.
They were tough guys

The Imperial Hotel in Japan created a Japanese word "baikingu" which means buffet.

actually they did not create a word. They could pronounce
smorgasbord which is a Swedish word for buffet for they
just applied the word viking with Japanese pronouciation instead

maybe I went too far??I'm pleased to point out my joking.

I at least knew you were joking. I don't really imagine myself
a viking. althoug the buffet thing is still strange to me

M's girls are all superb. You need to keep watching them.

Mami Yamazaki is the most popular of all the M's idols, which
I think is because she is learning English in a TV program called
100go-de-start. I did see many people post and say she was an angel,
she really was a robust angel or something. To tell you the truth,
though, I watched the TV program only once.

>>73
Why Don't You Choice ‘CANADA' ?

But of course I think Mami looks good. What if she was ugly?
She didn't join the M's club. Only a girl with the cute face
can belong to it. You can see why she is an M's girl if you
watch her on TV.

By the way, I love Sato TaMao. I don't know wether I'm right or
wrong, but I think TaMao can be certified as an M's girl. Her
name is taMao. She is cute, pretty, and charming, although some of
the Japanese women must hate her behavior.

I admit that all of M's girl are considerably pretty.
They are nice. buy you should admit an important thing that
Kaela Kimura is the most beautiful girl. M's girl are not her enemy.

I believe TaMao has what it takes to become an M's girl.
Pretty as she looks, we can accept her behavior. She is a little
talkative but appealing to males. If you like her and you have
lots of money, I suggest coming to see her and ask for marrige!
I would hope for your success.

>>85
If you stick to her, then why don't you set up a new club?
I don't know whether other K's girls are as cute as Kimura Kaela,
though.

K's girl club needn't to be built.
My Kaela is the summit of all women and girl globally.

Oh, and if you set up the K's club, I'll join it,
because I just remembered a beautiful K's girl.
Kato Rosa looks exotic and beautiful.

im fine, i got married 3 years ago and have 2 kids now.
everythings fine, how are you doing?
ahh actually,not good
ive been out of touch with you for almost 6 years. hows it going?
ahh, to tell you the truth, ive been in jail for 4 years and got out of there just yesterday.
are you kidding?
i remember you were a pretty good student back in highschool.
why on earth have you been in jail? i cant believe it.
what had happened?

You don't like her to be famous for her beauty?
Then I'll creat "Kato Rosa is Number 1" club. Let me
shorten it as KRN-1. That sounds nice, doesn't it?
I'll gather her fans.

Kaela Kimura and Kato Rosa

Why not? Come on!
Becky is half-Japanese as well. She is cheerful.
I myself is not so fond of her, but lots of her fans are
posting in the 2ch English board. We'd better get her into the
club.

But, I always love a girl with rather big nose but not too large.
That's because, my first love,,,
Oh! that's she. She taught me a good sex and her nose was rather big.
Do you know how to kiss a girl of that kind?

Her another charm point is that her
upper lip is a little turned up.
Could I express it enough, I wonder.
But, a little turned up upper lip is
too charming for me to stop
kissing her.

Though I wanted to buy her a expensive ring or a pendant, but
I have such big money-the one I saw was over 30,000 dollars!
So I decided to creat a cordial present to please her. I went
to a shop which dealt with lots of merchandises, looking for
something funny and useful, and found a peace of wood.
I bought it and use the material to make a small box. In the box put
was a nut of the size of which suit her.

The time finally came when I met her to ask her to marry me.
It was thrilling to think that in an hour or two I had to present
her the box I made in which there was the nut! We met where we always
did. I felt queasy to wonder if she would say yes to me.

A 19-year-old girl with 2 children...I thought it must be silly
to ask her out since she was the mother of them, raised them.
But I couldn't change my mind. I thought I would do anything to
marry her.

She said she left her children to her mother, I mean,
grandmom for the children, of course. To her I smiled back and
told her to go for a dinner(I saved some money for that).
We walked down the street to the restraunt with which I made
a reservation. At the front door of it, I stepped before her
and opened the door to let her in first and she stepped into it.

the restrant was, but at the same time like she was worried how
much it did cost to eat in the restraunt.

then, in retrospect, the restraunt cost less than you may think.
We didn't have so much money that it looked more than they
really were to us.

I sent random emails to an indies record companies asking them if they
could give me a job because I love music and especially indies music
more than almost anything else. I said that it was my dream to have
a job related to the music I love and even though i am not trained in
anything I serioulsy want to work to promote the scene and keep the music
alive. I got several rejections and many other labels simply ignored me.

One company wrote back and said that they were interested in meeting me.
They invited me to a concert they are promoting so that we could directly
talk. I wonder if perhaps my dream will become reality? Or maybe they
just want me to attend their concert. Or maybe they just think I am
an interesting person and want to meet and hang-out, but don't want to or
can't left me work for them. I hope there is a job for me. My life
would be soo much brighter if that was the case. Oh well at least I'll
be going to a good concert (even though I was probably going to go whether
they had invited me or not).

The cause of diabetes is the relative lack of insulin activity and not the excess of sugar intake.

ingesting a lot of sugar does help diabetes develop

I woke up today feeling fully rested but I didnt want to get out of
bed. When Im in bed I feel protected, like I don't have to face all
the crap in the world. I can just lie comfortably all wrapped up in
my blankets and forget that all my problems.

It got difficult. My body was telling me to get up, but my mind said
"No, just stay and feel safe." Sometimes I wish I could fall asleep and
just drift into a coma; not being dead but not waking up. Its probably
because Im too scared to face up to my life. I just want to run away.

Why run awaya? Because I know that Im not going to get a job that is
meaningful to me, that I probably won't be able to live where I want and
that I will be just like everyone else: working to survive; just shutting
their brains off for 8 hours everyday just so they can try to cram all
their fun and enjoyment into their few free hours. Work is simply
money, simply survival then; nothing more. Is that really living?
Doing something everyday that you don't really care about just so you
can try cram all your fun into a few days off?

But it probably has to be that way, its just the way of the modern
world. Perhaps I should try to be a farmer. Not that Im all that interesed
in farming, but at least they are outside.

Why is it i feel like doing nothing all the time?
Why is it when I actually get called for job interviews I feel like
running away? Why can't I just be like everyone else and accept working
a job that I have no particular care for accept money?

What the hell is wrong with me?

I swear to god (any god that is, I don't have one in particular in mind)
I have no fucking luck. I just wanted to re-buzz my hair to clean it
up and make it look smarter for the interview I have tomorrow, and now
I have a little patch where I fucked up and its a lot shorter than
everywhere else! Its very noticeable as well. I don't want to shave
all of my head that length because it makes me look like a gang member;
its just too short. Why does this shit always happen to me? For fucks
sake? When is it my fucking turn to have a little luck huh? They say
you make your own luck, but seriously I've been trying to make my own
for a while now and yet everything just ends up all fucked.

It could be worse I guess, my parents could totally give up on me and
not keeping helping me and just concentrate on making my sister a sucess.
They wouldn't have to try very hard because she is already doing well.

For fuck's sake, why can't i just make it all work?!

One of the most famous Japanese women authors is Murasaki Shikibu.

I have a job interview at 2pm.
Why do I feel like not going.
If I get the job then I can stay in Japan and quit school and
perhaps stop being so fucking despondent.

Do I want to flee because its a comission sales job and I think
that I'd be no good a carrying out high pressure sales?
Or is it because I know I have no interest in this type of business
oriented job?
I mean how do I know I'd be bad at it? I've never tried. How
do I know I would hate it? Am I just holding out for a perfect
job that probaby doesn't exsist and that's why I want to run away.

Am stupid for wanting my work to be related to something I care about
and not just something I do for money everyday; something that
I hate waking up for and something that I can't wait for it to end each
day?

Oh well, they'll probably ask me stupid questions about what I think

the body's organs use up water and the body loses water (sweating, bathroom functions, etc) everyday so you need to drink liquids to replace that

Its kind of hard for me to correct your English when Im not
really talking to you, but I'll try.

For starters, if you are talking about your days off that are on
the weekend, you just call it the weekend; not a holiday or holidays.

Instead of "it", in this case you use "that"
Also in your last sentence it is not clear what you want corrected so its
best to say it (ex. English, grammar, spelling), but otherwise "it" is probably a better choise.
If you want a more conversational tone
just say "Please fix it!"

This doesn't actually seem too helpful to you, sorry

watching tv is going to show you how to speak in a very conservational manner,

full of grammatical mistakes (much like Japanese conversation between two native

Don't ask me about that now. I only want to go around the world and
take cool and precious photos.

If I can't become a photographer, I want to be a jewelry designer.
These maybe looks different, but in my mind they are very much
related. But, after all, I think I become an ordinary nurse.
It's very hard to be an "ordinary" nurse, though.

Don't you have any hope to this world yet?
No no no!
Abandon all hope, then the road to the highest will open to you.

I think they never ever leave the town.

I live in near Takarazuka, too. But I enjoy not the review

What's the meaning of "more than that?"
It means for us to have the same life together.

I probably miss you so much.

I think Yachi is living in NY now, though she's supposed to
go back to Taiwan, where she was born and brought up. As you
know Yachi looks like Maju Ozawa, an actress from Japan. So
if you like her, you'll take a liking to Yachi as well. Oh, and
I tell you, she's 21 years old. I'm sort of sure about that.
Must've mentioned it by herself. A 21-year-old Taiwanese girl
who's struggling to learn English, beautiful and exotic.
I'm sure all of the males posting here will have a great interest
in her and fall in love. There's no other girl in the world like
her, well, of course, except for Maju (though she doesn't even try to
learn English...) .

If you never watched her on TV, you'd best turn on TV
Tuesday at 11:00, NHK's educational program. You'll find
Yachi very lovely.

I went to a concert last night. It was fun and depressing all at
the same time. It was fun becasue I love going to pack small concerts
and seeing the music i love live. It was depressing because I went
to the concert bymyself (which I do a lot) and had to enjoy everything
alone. It was depressing because I have a feeling that I won't be able
to go to anymore concerts like that in the near future because I'll
have to leave. It was depressing because I was supposed to meet someone
from a record label there (she was also in a band that performed). The meeting
wasn't depressing. I knew from the start that when she replied to my
email she wasn't really considering giving me a job, but just a chance for
them to get to know another of their fans. I knew it, but of course I held
on to a glimmer of hope anyway. Hope is becoming dangerous, it is the only
thing keeping me going, but it's the only thing that brings me down as well.

I think i should turn my pipe dreams into pipe bombs.

Be depressing, depressing, depressing.
What's the cause of your depression?
Generally, the cause of depression is excessive desire.
What's pipe dream? Pipe dream can be a cause of depression?
No, it's not. It's narcotics of your excessive desire.
Narcotics soothe your desire for two seconds. But it exists
deep-rootedly in your mind. As you say, you need a pipe bomb
that would ignite your A-bomb in your heart.

Then, what can the A-bomb do for you???

a Pipe Dream is:A fantastic notion or vain hope.

Sometimes depression cannot be "grown out of." Sometimes it is
a medical problem having to do with chemical inbalances in the
brain.

The saddest case was my friend. He was not depressed in his youth,
but in his last year of college something just went wrong. No matter
what his depression couldn't be cured. In the end he shot his parents
and himself. My whole town was in morning. I still remember the exact
date every year and get sad. It was three years ago.

I wouldn't say Im depressed, but disillusioned and frustrated.

Yukorin has already achieved more than a 21-year-old girl is
expected.

I'm very sorry for you old friend.

do you often use "this day"?
it seems like an expression of history.
i usually use, "today, now, present-day, nowadays and these days."

Yukorin is a waste

she must be removed from the public eye

"this day" is usually used as a way of referencing the past.
For example on this day in 1767...

Or it gets used to add emphasis, usually in a speech.
For example: We will always remeber this day and the day that...

Nope. "from this day to "another day" " is a set phrase.

similar expressions in your language.

Gene makes your body and brain.
But, it never makes your heart.
Your soul is your mind or heart.
It's exists temporarily in your body,
but it exists essentially in different
with your substances or materials.
Materials like proteins that are the products
of your gene code.
Soul or heart exists where there is no light, sound,
time, space and materials.
Think of your LOVE. Isn't it the same?
Soul, heart, mind or love.
It's not the subproduct of your gene code.

nevertheless your whole body materials have ecchanged.

I see what you mean, but I'm not convinced yet.
Though you stated one's mind is soul,
I believe mind is a result of chemichal activity going on inside your brain.
It is just impossible to prove existence of soul.
But, you can deduce one's emotion, including love, from the chemichal activity.

>>612
I'm sorry for you. Nobody can pretend they are Yukorin because
she's a real angel. If her clone were created, I'd see through her.
My mind goes to Yukorin's smile when I hear her name called on TV, and
you? I believe her soul was purified long before she turned up in
Tokyo, of course, from Korin planet, where many other angels live there
and look down on us. My teacher told me that somewhere in the world we can
connect to people outside the earth and talk to them. Maybe we call them
angels. And considering how fluent Yukorin is in Japanese, they also have
a good command of our language, so if they come down here, we can
have a chat with them. How exciting isn't it to talk with people like
Yukorin? I'm confident I can be asked to go to the Korin planet
if I meet one of them. I'll ask them to take you, too, guys!

You may love a piece of music.
Why do you love it? You know that it's a mere accumulation and
changes of sound wave. That's because your heart detect the hearts
of the composer and the players. This explanation must be unsufficient.
But, it's true that you don't love the sound wave itself.
In other words, you don't love the vibration of your tympanic
membranes, pulses of your auditory nerves or electric actions of
your brain cells.
Your brains or your body is a mere unit which can detect soul,
mind, heart or love. It's a very excellent machine but your
master of yourself is your mind which is not encoded by your gene.
Your mind can't be encoded with four kind of basis of nucleic acid.

stop pretending that you're clever.
you're not.

Your body and your brain are designed with four letters, ATGC.
All the phenomena in your body, also in your brain return to these
four letters.
Of course, ATCG are only the code to produce amino acids in you body,
though, it can be said that all of your body and brain are made of
these for letters.
That means,, you have said, your soul, your mind and even your
love is able to be designed with these four letters.
In other words, four-elements ATGC computer can make a heart,
a soul or love. If so, you can say more that two-elements 0/1 ordinary
computer can make them.

Do you buy it? I don't.

And, let me make sure that I do respect your opinion,
and I'm not trying defeat you over this argument, or I'd say debate.
I'm just trying to convey my opinion just as you are.

Regarding to your statement that mind cannot be encoded in genetic code,
I do agree with that. If it could, mind can't be as complecated as we see it.
However, this complication, I believe, is accumulatede over our experience.
Our daily experience and enviroment in which we grew up stimulated our brains
so rapidly, and unnoticebly.
And that resulted in these tremendious devastation among us, and that's
why we are different from each other.
We develope our brains through and, by saying that, I mean we are forming our "minds"

I forgot his name but a Novel prized scientist said about it.
Other sientist said, "Gene and meme have made you."
(The Novel prized scientist didn't said that.)
On the other hand, Buddhists say "desire or ignorance" made you.
What's ignorance? It's, "something good is in this world."
It's only my understanding, though.
Psychologists say you have enormous sub-conscious in your depth.
Some Buddhists say sub-conscious comes from or is under
the effects of your ancestors or other deceased souls and
your preexistence.

Some say the sun goes around, others, the earth revolves.

It doesn't matter. There are two thoughts about your mind now,
mechanical and unmechanical.

What is a meme? (rhymes with "dream")
Memes are the basic building blocks of our minds and culture,
in the same way that genes are the basic building blocks of biological life.

Who invented memes?
Oxford zoologist Richard Dawkins is credited with first
publication of the concept of meme in his 1976 book The Selfish Gene.

I always sleep nude. I feel uncomfortable when I try to sleep
while wearing clothes

K sisters bedclothes must be stink.
By the way, do they sleep together?

It rained heavily in Kansai area this morning. But it's only drizzling here.
I think I can go out by motorbike.
I have a garage sale tomorrow, so I'm happy it almost stopped raining.

There are more than one hundred one coital postures in the world. China has the most. Chinese are such people after all.

I said, "don't come in yet. I'm still doing."
But, he came in my room and did that.
Q1; What was I doing?
Q2; What did he do for me?

I bought a new car. It was much more expensive than I had expected.
10 million yen!!! But, I paid it in cash. It was as if to jump off
the terrace of Kiyomizu Temple.

If I have 10 million yen,
I'll pay my housing loan to reduce it.

I want to be a billionaire like Bill Gates.

How about Hori Emon?

Horie is surely talented, but He is the demanding man who is just like a scary dictator!
I hate him

Even if I were talented, well balanced and wise, I wouldn't buy a weakest baseball team like Mr Mikitani

I like Hri Emon because he is less handsome than I,
although he has a little much money than I.

I think all people are demanding. The difference is the technique to hide it.

bill gates is surely more demanding
it seems necessary to be billionaire

He wants me to take around Japan.
Where should I show him to?

Shintaro Ishihara, the Governor of Tokyo, started to clean up
Kabuki-cho. But, is it really possible? There live numerous
number of evil foreigners and Japanese gangsters.
By the way, Fujio Akatuka is one of the most famous gagsters of
Japan and Ishihara is becoming a gagster gradually, too.

I'm having examinations these days.
It's very hard to keep up with my school teachings.
They are so fast. My school is like a cram school.
I went to the doctor's today and I was put on a drip infusion.
That was because of nausea and appetite loss.

>>697 Have a dream. It's the most important thing for you.
But, what is "to be put on a drip infusion"?

Yukorin is very cute.

I've always wondered who is Yokorin.

I know Yukorin but I dont know Yokorin.
Im asking you,Mr. or Ms.771, who the hell is Yokorin?

Hey! Go to MSN Japan homepage now! now! RIGHT NOW!!
You guys can have a look at Yukorin's kosupure pictures there.
Believe me. Yukorin is an angel. I'm sure you'll be surprised
by her cuteness.
http://www.mainichi-msn.co.jp/it/game/etc/photo/20050613/

So the Yukorin in the pictures is a witch this time?
Do you think a witch's fart can be really smelly. don't you?

Yukorin never farts.

Do you want to have a one-night stand with Yukorin?
I don't think you can make it, of course, though.
She's not a promiscuous kind of girl.

Did you see the third picture from the left side?
If not, click on the image and study her.
Isn't her cheek sorf of flabby? I can't think she's an angel.

>>704
Yes, she does. She said her fart smelt like vanilla.
Don't you know?

>>705
I can't agree and can't disagree with you since Yukorin is doomed to be
virgine eternally... like, let us say, Mother Mary?

You guys are just teasing me. If I were to say something to you now,

BE HONEST TO YOURSELF.

Nobody can deny Yukorin's charm. That's true.

I often hear that idols have no brains, to which I'm of two minds
whether it's true or not. Aren't they so smart that they won't
bother to let it show? Smarter than males means getting less popular
among them?

How amazing! Yukorin is not a fictitious but a real person.
Do idols have no brains? It's impossible.
They look much smarter than their fans.

>>709 sorry, i love Yuka.

I snowboard but i do not surf. i am not so fond of beaches and
ocean

Whether Yukorin is smart or stupid I don't care. I just want her
to go away. i hope she gets married today and has no more career
and is forgotten by everyone

yuka appears arrogant

too dangerous. I like skiing.

Don't blame yourself. You, praise and admire yourself. You must have
many good points. For example, you can write good English.
Don't you eat too much usually? I teach you how to eat.
Before eating, you decide all what you are going to eat at that time.
Then devote it with prayer to the Gods, the Buddhas, the ancestors
from the bottom of your heart. Then eat that. You may eat three times

1:11 Saying, What you see, put in a book, and send it to the seven churches; to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamos and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.
